Novice Marshal

All new TT Marshals start as Novices, once you have registered your details with us, you will be given access to our online training resources made up initially of two online training modules with a test to make sure you have understood the basic training. The modules give you the basics of marshalling powers, flags, radio and basic safety practices for your first time out on the course.

Once you have completed the online training, you can sign up for a race event and request an allocation to part of the TT course. You will then be placed with one of our experienced teams of TT Marshals.

As a brand new novice you will be allocated to a Sector and your Chief Sector Marshal will assign you to a team, and you can then pick up your marshalling pack ready for the event. Your pack includes a warrant / ID card, a tabbard and information on what to wear and expect on the day. At any time you can ask the TT Marshals Office at the back of the TT Grandstand for assistance, and other marshal at your sector will be more than happy to help if you have any questions as a new marshal.
