You can set yourself up through our website , which works on modern browsers on PC’s, laptops, tablets and mobile phones so you can keep in contact with us any time. Depending on when in the year you are starting your marshalling journey with us, there are a set of steps that you can take to get you up and running with us as quickly as possible.
The first step is to Register, select on “Marshal Login” at top of screen and select “Register as a new marshal”, then complete your personal details.
You now have access to your marshalling portal so you can manage your marshalling with us in one place, whenever you need to.
Once you’ve set up your registration and received an ID number, you will be able to complete your online training modules, which can be done at any time of the year.
Select “MyTraining” area, you can access two modules individually and take the short tests to make sure you have retained the information. You have to achieve the pass mark set on the tests before you can sign on for a race event with us. You can revisit both modules whenever you want to, and we recommend that you review them just before an event to refresh your memory.
One you have registered and completed the online training modules, you are ready to sign on for a race event with us. If the event has been opened you will see it in the “Events” tab to select, if there isn’t one available then we will let you know via email when we have opened one and you can login and select it then.
Select the “Event”, select the one that you want to volunteer for, then choose the sessions in “MySessions” area and choose the dates and where on the TT Course you want to marshal.
If you are a new novice then you will only be able to select a sector of the course, your Chief Sector Marshal will let you know where you will be marshalling in their sector.
If you are an experienced marshal, you can select your sector and any areas within those sectors to volunteer at. Your “MySessions” page always shows where you are set to marshal and is updated with the session status as an event happens.
Review the terms of marshalling, once accepted and submitted them all the information is automatically sent to the office to set up your marshalling pack and ID cards for the event.
Once the race event has started you can collect your marshalling pack from the TTMA Marquee at the rear of the TT Grandstand, there will be details issued about accessing the area when we open the event.
Your marshalling pack includes your ID Card, a high viz tabard, essential information about the event and some gifts. It is also your chance to ask for help with any queries you may have in person, the office team will be more than happy help with any queries.
We also offer TTMA pack collection nights around the island in the lead up to practice week, we publish details of when and where nearer the time.
Check on your requirements for clothing and refreshments, and make sure you have all your issued cards and ID with you to go out on the course.
You will be contacted by your Chief Sector Marshal if you need updates on where/when to marshal and any changes to your location. They will also assist with information on where to park around the course.
Check out our website for FAQs and other important information you may need, and check out discounts and incentives offered to volunteer marshals at the event.
Listen in to local media for any changes to the practice / race times and any other updates that may happen during the race event.
